Senior Vehicle Technician
Mechanical Engineering Services - or MES, are one of the larger fully independent organizations in the area, with multiple sites within the larger Group Business, covering both services, as well as Sales of low mileage, nearly new vehicles.
We are currently expanding our workshop team at our Cranleigh branch in order to meet the demand of our customer base -Therefore we are looking for a highly motivated individual with high personal standards to join our main workshop team, join our main workshop team, in the Senior Technician role.
Regular Development training is offered and carried out to an ATA/IMI accredited level and can lead to ATA exams and their relevant qualifications. So if you want to develop your career and move forward to the Diagnostic Technician or Master Technician status, then this would be the ideal opportunity, if you do not already have these qualifications.
As a Senior Vehicle Technician at MES you will be responsible for -
Carrying out "triage" of vehicles, this will be everything from an electrical fault to a mechanical fault, and very occasionally routine maintenance work. All manufacturer information and tooling is provided to complete this task both effectively and efficiently.
We specialise in this area of vehicle repair, and regularly tackle really interesting jobs, and very rarely turn away a "fault" type of job.
Aiding our other technicians in the role of Senior Technician, helping them systematically carry out fault diagnosis and repair, monitoring the repair process and carrying out final checks.
Supporting colleagues in the workshop in systematic fault diagnosis, as well as documenting fully the results of the diagnosis.
Informing colleagues in the workshop of technical innovations whilst also communicating important information regarding the fault diagnosis.
Our facilities are probably some of the best in the area, and as we don't often recruit, this position will be filled quickly!
To any prospective Candidates -
-Excellent rates of pay available depending on experience.
-Minimum 6 yrs qualified experience required for this position, preferably with both Dealership and Independent experience during that time, with a variance across multiple Marques being a real plus point.
-A good understanding of Vehicle Diagnostic protocols and how to apply them daily would be a real plus - but can be developed via training if required.
-30 days holiday per year (including bank holiday days), which rises on a time-served basis.
-Full UK Driving Licence required
-Weekly takeaway lunch delivered every other Wednesday for the whole team!
- Working Hours Monday-Friday 8am-5pm - no weekend work required for this position!

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year OTE
